The man

LITT-man, that is. My stethoscope came on Monday! Woo! I love it. I love even more that it is PINK.
I guess my tote bag speaks the truth as it shouts "LOVE PINK LOVE PINK LOVE PINK" at anyone who glances.

I look haggard in this picture. Case in point: Med school can ruin your beauty sleep, beauty routine, all things beauty really. But I am keepin on with my studies. We have a midterm this Friday and I want to cry a little... or a lot. I also want a shake. Like a legit oreo shake that Bre and I would make for girls' night.

So I was going to post a picture of an oreo shake right here, but when I google image'd "oreo shake" the following picture came up...

Which reminds me that I have a date with the gym at 06:30...eff.

Karma

Well, all I can say is that I am glad I stuck it out over the last few rough weeks. Karma is paying plenty of good juju back :)
I found out yesterday that I am on the waiting list at Albany Medical College! I also found out that I am interviewing at Temple School of Medicine in three weeks!

but the thing I am most excited for...
Someone turned in my iPod at the gym!!!

Yessssssssssss.

I am going to go pick it up right now :)

Roctober

I love October. It is Halloween today and the professor I work for is wearing a jester hat right now. It is impossible to take him seriously...hence, I am blogging. (I am not sure I just used "hence" correctly.) Halloween weekend was a great success with parties, friends, and good times. The forecast says it is going to snow tomorrow. Sucks! I guess it wouldn't be Halloween in Utah without a snow storm. There is a student in class right now that made herself a Tron costume that lights up and everything = sweet. October went so quickly! Earlier this month I went to Albany, NY for a medical school interview and it was beautiful!!! I absolutely loved it. I hope I hear good news from them soon. I have an interview at the U of U SOM in just over a week. I am nervous! October and Halloween also signal the Blackout football game which was very fun this year! (Last year we got thwomped by TCU...in front of the whole country...) We beat the Oregon State Beavers and got our first PAC-12 win! I also start training for my new job tomorrow! I am an Eye Bank Tissue Recovery Technician for the Utah Lions Eye Bank in the Moran Eye Center! I can't wait to start. I guess this is all I will post for now.

Five days later...

My spring break is over. All I have done is study. And hang out with the dogs. And eat girl scout cookies. Samoas to be exact. I did have some good news. I was able to transfer my MCAT location to Taylorsville instead of St. George!!! woot. You know what the best part about that is? I'm going up the street to the Great Harvest to celebrate with some delicious Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies the size of my FACE. Yesssss.... It has been far too long since I have been to that restaurant. Now that we're on the topic of food, I'd like to thank/blame my cousin Erica for getting me hooked on coconut. I was never a huge fan until I went out to DC for my birthday (almost one year ago!) and had it on frozen yogurt all the time. Plus on some delicious cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake. I just want to go back to DC. Basically. Hence me applying to both Georgetown and George Washington Universities for Medical School. Woot. Sometimes I love Roxie the wiener dog and sometimes she drives me crazy. Right now she's laying in my lap like a sweetheart and earlier she was being a terror. Well, I'm over it. Imma go shower now.

The snow makes me want one.

Oh the joys of the holidays.....
Good thing I have a 24 accessible location.
Now, to risk dying in the blizzard to get one tonight or wait until tomorrow?
Decisions, decisions.

(For all you haters this is a peppermint mocha - my new obsession.)
