The Not-Study Game

I don't know what it was about today but I couldn't get a good thing going. My day started by oversleeping and being nearly an hour late for class! It would not have been a big deal except our class had a midterm on Friday so our schedule for this week was a tad different than usual.

We normally have a one hour "lecture" from 08:00-09:00, then cross-teach, and finally  dissection or self study depending on the day. But today, we had dissection at 08:00 until 11:00, which is when the other half of our group came in for cross-teach until 12:00. I felt terrible about being late and leaving my dissection team a man down.

After that whole dissection mess (dissection was particularly difficult today and I was unable to get all of my prep done...) I was excited to meet up with a friend to go climbing. Which ended up not happening for various reasons. Bummer.

But in the end, I decided to stay in, do laundry (something I have never done since moving to Philadelphia), and watch hulu. This plan was aided particularly by the weather: it has been a torrential downpour here in the city for most of the day - lightning, thunder, the whole bit. These rainy Mondays make me want to snuggle in bed with a movie on.

Which is exactly what I did today aka played the not-study game. And I feel great about it.

Made it in America

This past weekend was one of the best in my short life. I spent 48 hours with my amazing friends and some of the best musical acts from around the country (and Canada :D )

Day one:

Started in the DJ tent where I met some new people and had a BLAST dancing at the front with Janice!

Next we headed to Passion pit and then to Calvin Harris!

We stopped at Skrillex on our way to the last show of the night... Jay-Z!!! But, don't worry, Jay-Z brought out Kanye West, Common, Big Sean, Swizz Beatz, and Young Boi too!!!! SO AMAZING. I had such a good time at the show that I couldn't believe there was a second day of the festival on Sunday!!!

 HOVA AKA JAY-Z

DAY Two:

Run D.M.C., DRAKE, alesso, and Pearl Jam (boo... they were awful).

Basically, it was amazing. I can't even describe how blessed I feel to have had the opportunity to go to the festival with my friends and have such a great Labor Day weekend!!!

The man

LITT-man, that is. My stethoscope came on Monday! Woo! I love it. I love even more that it is PINK.
I guess my tote bag speaks the truth as it shouts "LOVE PINK LOVE PINK LOVE PINK" at anyone who glances.

I look haggard in this picture. Case in point: Med school can ruin your beauty sleep, beauty routine, all things beauty really. But I am keepin on with my studies. We have a midterm this Friday and I want to cry a little... or a lot. I also want a shake. Like a legit oreo shake that Bre and I would make for girls' night.

So I was going to post a picture of an oreo shake right here, but when I google image'd "oreo shake" the following picture came up...

Which reminds me that I have a date with the gym at 06:30...eff.
